The International Space Station detected an air leak. At the moment, the situation is not a great danger to the crew, reports RIA Novosti.

NASA confirmed air leak detected on the International Space Station (ISS)

«Roscosmos» confirmed the information about what happened. Today the crew members will move to the module «Star», to observe the pressure in the modules of the American segment. In the next three days, the NASA segment will be isolated and closed for routine work and search for the cause of the air leak. Such a decision was made together with colleagues from the USA, added a representative of «Roscosmos».

There are currently three people inside the International Space Station. Two of them are astronauts «Roscosmos» Ivan Wagner and Anatoly Ivanishin. The NASA side is represented only by Commander Chris Cassidy (Chris Cassidy).

According to the Director of the Space Policy Institute, Ivan Moseev, air leakage could have occurred due to a valve failure, the removal of a seal or the emergence of a microbot from a collision with space debris, which is less likely. The expert denies the version of intentionally creating an air leak.
