Abt Sportsline celebrates its 125 in 2021. With the Audi RSQ8-R, the German car refiner is giving himself and his fans a power SUV limited to 125 pieces, which has enough power under the hood to make a Ferrari turn pale, and the Audi RSQ8-R is the perfect choice. Audi is already setting the production version of the RSQ8 to 600 hp, but the Abt tuners really add to it. The anniversary edition will be supplemented by a variety of hardware and software upgrades and the intercoolers from the SUV coupé.

Audi RSQ8-R by Abt Sportsline: Faster than the fastest production SUVs in the world

Every time Abt Sportsline adds the letter "R" to one of its customized car creations, it is clear that something special is coming. Most recently, the Allgäu team at the ABT RS7-R proved that there is still a bit more to it when it comes to high performance. This is exactly the case with the latest model, the ABT RSQ8-R Limited Edition SUV, which is marked "R". Now you might think that it is enough that the German tuner already offers a tuned model based on the Audi RS Q8, which completes the sprint from zero to one hundred in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 305 km/h. But apparently this model was not extreme enough!

The most convincing feature of the tuned Audi RSQ8-R from Abt is its drive: Although Audi is already sending the RS Q8 to the road with 600 horsepower ex works, Abt increased the horsepower number by 140 to 740 hp (544 kW) for its anniversary. The car tuner from Kempten achieves these values above all by installing its engine control unit, which works together with a new intercooler that customers already know from the SUV coupé. After the conversion, the Audi RSQ8-R achieves a top speed of 315 km/h.

At the customer’s request, the RSQ8-R is faster than the fastest production SUVs in the world - the Bentley Bentayga Speed and the Lamborghini Urus. The British luxury SUV reaches "only" 306 km/h (190 mph), while the Lamborghini achieves 305 km/h (189.5 mph). The acceleration of the new SUV is also accompanied by an even more powerful sound. This is thanks to the Abt exhaust system made of stainless steel with four 4-inch tailpipes (102 millimeters). The Audi RSQ8-R can be heard from afar - thanks to the stainless steel silencer system with a tail tube diameter of 102 millimetres.

Make-over: New styling for the 740 hp Audi RSQ8-R

The RSQ8-R also receives a visual upgrade: an aerodynamic package complements the body with several carbon inserts - including the fender extensions, the front skirt attachment, the mirror caps, the rear spoiler, the side skirts and much more. The Power SUV also receives weight-optimized 23-inch Abt high-performance alloy wheels with R23 tires in dimension 295/35.

As far as the interior is concerned, the upgrades are more subtle but effective. The most striking features are the Abt steering wheel, the start-stop switch cap, the shift button cover, the seats with Abt and RSQ8-R embossing as well as a revised armrest and the centre console. The package is rounded off by the door sills with "1 of 125" lettering, floor mats with the model logo as well as special plaques, lettering and logos that highlight the rarity of the RSQ8-R. The Abt RSQ8-R is available in a complete package for an impressive 211,431.93 euros. In addition, the V-Max suspension and the interior package with control panel and seat frame panels for 2,125.04 euros are optional. A set of winter bikes in 22 inches can be booked for 3,889.41 euros.
