Windows Terminal 1 is available

Windows Terminal offers a modern command-line application for Windows 10 users
Microsoft is announcing the release of Windows Terminal 1.0

Microsoft released Windows Terminal 1.0 with GPU Support.

At the start of the developer trade fair Build 2020 (this time purely digitally) Microsoft has not only released the Powertoys in a new version with new tools, but also the first non-pre-release version of Windows Terminal. Similar to the Powertoys, Windows Terminal 1.0 also comes full circle, because the new Windows Terminal app had been announced by Microsoft at the Build 2019 almost exactly one year ago and since then also released several preview versions, which have been continuously improved with the help of the community.

Windows Terminal 1.0 is available here via the Microsoft Store for end users using Windows 10. The further development is driven by Microsoft via the open source project on Github. From July 2020, Microsoft will provide Windows Terminal with monthly updates and thus further develop the tool. The best suggestions and code contributions of the community end up in the program code.

This lets users access the Command Prompt, PowerShell, and WSL

The interface of Windows Terminal, which is developed entirely in C++, resembles more a browser than an ordinary Windows application. In tabs, the desired command line can be opened, be it the classic Windows command prompt, the Linux Bash or Powershell. So you can work in several tabs at the same time. The contents of each tab can also be displayed in different colors, which helps to keep track of the overview. This should also prevent, for example, a command for the Windows command prompt in Linux Bash from causing an error message.
