A prominent Tum Apisak network source noted in the Userbenchmark test database a reference to a very interesting new CPU from AMD. As confirmed by several other sources, this is a desktop version of the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Renoir series chip for the Socket AM4.

The novelty was tested on the Asrock B550 Taichi motherboard based on the B550 chipset introduced yesterday. As is known, motherboards on this system logic will support not only processors based on the current Zen 2 architecture, but also based on the future Zen 3.


In the Userbenchmark database, the desktop version of the AMD hybrid processor appears under the code name 100-000000149-40_40/30_Y. According to available data, the chip has 8 cores and 16 threads. Doubling the number of kernels compared to the current table APU should definitely please «red» fans.

From the data provided, the base processor clock frequency is 3.0 Ghz. Its automatic acceleration rate averaged 3.95 Ghz. Based on the test results, the desktop version of AMD Ryzen 7,4800H shows the same performance level as the mobile version of the chip. At least not in this synthetic test.
