TCL QLED C81 and C71: Two new 4K TV with Dolby Vision and HDR10 +
TCL QLED TV Review.
Both the C71 and the C81 use quantum dots and support not only the regular HDR10, but also HDR10+ and Dolby Vision - and Dolby Atmos. Onkyo’s 2.1 speakers are on board. Since Android TV is an operating system, there is also access to the Play Store and, of course, the Google Assistant. Chromecast built-in is also available. If you want to use Amazon Alexa to control the TV, there is always compatibility, but you need another device - for example, an Amazon echo.
At the top you can also see the TCL C71 - this series starts in commerce at 799 Euro (50 inches) and climbs up to 1,199 Euro (65 inches). A 55 inch model is placed in the middle. The C81 series starts at 1,049 Euro for the 55-Zoller and then climbs to 1,999 Euro for the 75-inch variant. Unfortunately both TV series use three ports for HDMI 2.0 and twice USB 2.0, but not yet HDMI 2.1. So even though TCL emphasizes that the Tvs offer response times of only 10 ms in gaming mode, players can be advised not to buy. Because the PS5 and Xbox Series X will bet on HDMI 2.1 and thus already implement 4K with 120 Hz, ALLM and VRR.
