Lakka 2.3.2 as an alternative

An alternative to Retropie 4.6 is the lightweight Linux distribution Lakka 2.3.2 based on the Mediaplayer software Libreelec, which is also a mini PC from the beat of a Raspberry Pi 4 (or older) transformed into a cross-platform game console in just a few steps.

The author points out that it is not permitted in Germany to circumvent effective copy protection and that it is only legal to use an ISO file if it has been issued by the manufacturer himself or if the game is considered as open source or free software.

Neither Retropie 4.6 nor Lakka 2.3.2 itself use original or manipulated firmware of the emulated systems, but only reproduce them.
