AMD Intel Core i9 10900K CPU Review
AMD Intel Core i9 10900K Review |
Intel claims the chip is capable of hitting 5.3GHz
You saw it yesterday with our Comet Lake file, available here, the 10900K and 3900X have almost identical recommended prices. Blue is $488 while red is $499. However, given that the Ryzen does not have an integrated graphics chip, the 10900KF should be considered as its designated legitimate competitor. The latter having a $472 MSRP. If we look at the prices in Gaul, clearly there is a big inflation on these 10900K, these are launch prices where the margins are fat, taking advantage of the novelty effect to tease the buying fever of geeks, long quarantined and able to save money to spend more on D-Day, while generating frustration. It costs €600 for the 10900KF and €620 for the 10900K.
The 10900K and 3900X have almost identical recommended prices
The 3900X, meanwhile, has been in the shops for many months, and has already been put at 459€ in bulk, with an average rather around 520€ for months. On the performances, it turns out in app better than the 10900K, in game 10% behind, but in proportions that make this gap perfectly invisible to the player. His personal situation is therefore comfortable, cheaper and more efficient, he should have encouraged Intel to put it 100$ less from the start. Its price should fall in the coming weeks, but in the blue, it does not drop especially in the long term.
Yet AMD would have decided to sit on a throne by lowering its reference price of $89, or $410! We can therefore expect Cpus, in a few days, that will flirt with the 400€, assuming that this decline does not only concern the USA, but also all the markets of the planet. This would make this 3900X even more indestructible, and especially it could help sell the stocks in order to make way for Zen 3 at the end of the year, who knows?
