What is TCL Qled
Discovering an QLED TV for the first time is a bit like removing the veil from a window that would mask the view of the surrounding nature. Suddenly everything becomes brighter, and the colors suddenly reveal their infinite richness. The secret behind this image revolution is in two words: Quantum Dots, quantum boxes in French.
These are cadmium selenide crystals (a semiconductor compound), which, because of their nanometric dimensions, respond, as the name suggests, to the laws of quantum physics. And their remarkable property, discovered incidentally in the late 1970s, is their fluorescence. Or, more precisely, their ability to restore the light that is transmitted to them, in a frequency directly related to their size. In clear, it is enough to vary the latter to obtain any color of the visible spectrum.

And that’s what makes the technology so interesting for LCD screens. In fact, to display the images, the classic models use a backlight based on blue Leds that project light through filters that retain only the other two primary colors, green and red. On the one hand, all the light emitted is not exploited, and on the other hand, the intensity of green and red is reduced, compared to that of blue. As a result, the screens fail to accurately reproduce the colors, or even to approach the DCI-P3 standard, the colorimetric space of digital cinema.

But thanks to the Quantum dots filter, these two problems disappear: the nanocrystals restore the light of the Leds in green and red shades without any loss of energy, which gives the colors exceptional brightness and vivacity, surpassing OLED technology on this point. Above all, the perfect balance between the three components makes it possible to display 100% of the DCI-P3 standard, or even more! Finally, as the quantum box filter is positioned as close as possible to the front of the slab, the colors and light intensity remain constant, even when looking at the side screen, a luxury previously reserved only for OLED screens sold, Remember, much more expensive than QLED LCD screens.
The QLED in the new C71 and C81 ranges
To be convinced, just look at the C71 and C81 series of TCL. These 4K UHD Smart Tv incorporate QLED technology, as well as all the latest technological refinements: support for all HDR standards, including Dolby Vision and HDR 10+; Dolby Atmos compatibility, for perfect sound restitution in space. The three screens of the C81 series even include a sound bar of the prestigious brand Onkyo and a subwoofer attached to the back of the camera!
What brand makes TCL TV
And yet, despite this unlikely technological debauchery, the prices remain surprisingly wise: 600, 700 and 900 euros, respectively for the 50 (127 cm diagonal), 55 (140 cm) and 65 inches (165 cm) screens of the C71 series, and 800, 1 200 and 1 700 euros for the 55 models, 65 and 75 inches (190 cm) of the C81 series. Prices are all the more attractive as TCL currently reimburses up to 150 euros for the purchase of a C71 TV, and up to 300 euros for a model of the C81 series! Less than 1,500 euros for a screen nearly two meters diagonal, equipped with QLED technology. The dream has never been so accessible!
