Kingston Digital, Kingston Technology’s Flash Memory division, introduced the KC2500 series of solid-state (SSD) drives. The products are suitable for desktop and laptop applications.
The devices are in the format M.2 2280: the overall dimensions are 22 80 mm. The 3D NAND flash memory chips are made using TLC technology, which requires the storage of three bits of information in a single cell. The SMI 2262EN controller is activated.
The drives use the Pcie Gen 3.0 x4 interface, which provides high performance. The speed of sequential reading of the information reaches 3500 MB/s, the speed of sequential writing - 2900 MB/s.
