Goswami Tulsidas was born in 1532. There is a difference of opinion on the year and place of his birth. Some scholars consider his birthplace as Rajpur (Banda district) and some as Soron (Etah district). There is no concrete information regarding their parents. According to the materials and evidence obtained, his mother's name was Hulsi and father's name was Atmaram Dubey.
