Kabirdas was born in 1398 AD in Kashi. There are many stories regarding Kabir's birth. Regarding his birth, it is popular that he was born with the blessings of Swami Ramanand from the womb of a widow Brahmini who threw him near the pond named 'Lahartara' at the rate of lodge.
