Nuvia Phoenix: Efficient CPU cores should be better than Apple solution
Nuvia Announces CPU Codenamed Phoenix |
The CPU startup Nuvia is planning a new generation of a processor architecture that wants to eclipse everything that has been done so far. The model is Apple, which is far ahead of classic x86 solutions in terms of efficiency. But they also want to surpass this with the first product Phoenix.
Nuvia Phoenix challenges the established
Based on simulations in Geekbench 5, the manufacturer wants to show this additional performance. With low energy requirements, a very good result is to be achieved, which even exceeds Apple’s solutions by a factor of 2. x86 Cpus from AMD and Intel are significantly down in terms of performance per watt in this test. But these bring much more besides the CPU, which is why the comparison is not completely convincing. This also applies to Geekbench, which is not undisputed as a benchmark.
It is not yet clear how much of it will be left in a final product. Even the competition is not sleeping and certainly not standing still, the new Apple Soc A14 is again expected to jump by about 50 percent, so that the big advantage of Nuvia Phoenix could already shrink to a much smaller part together.
