Yoga Slim 7 Pro: Lenovo brings Ryzen 4000H without GPU with a 16:10 display

Lenovo is further expanding its range of notebooks with AMD Ryzen 4000. With the Yoga Slim 7 Pro, the manufacturer Renoir of the H-Series combines a high-resolution 16:10 display and with the Yoga Slim 6, another Ryzen 4000U convertible is launched. However, interested parties still have to exercise patience.
Yoga Slim 7 Pro: Renoir with 16:10 display
With the Yoga Slim 7, Lenovo was one of the first manufacturers to present a notebook with Ryzen 4000 Renoir from the 15-watt class ("U"), whose 14-inch full HD display was designed in 16:9 format. The new Pro model, on the other hand, relies on a 16:10 screen (14") with 2,240 1,400 pixels (300 cd/m²) or even 2,880 1,800 pixels (400 cd/m²), which is advantageous for office applications. In order to meet the professional demand also in terms of performance, the change from Ryzen 4000U to Ryzen 4000H takes place parallel. The top 8-core model Ryzen 9 4900H is also available as an option, alternatively Ryzen 7 4800H or Ryzen 5 4600H with eight or six cores.

Not only the high-resolution 16:10 display makes the Yoga Slim 7 Pro a special feature among the Ryzen 4000 notebooks, it also leaves Lenovo with the iGPU integrated in the APU and dispenses with a discrete graphics unit. With a 61 watt-hour battery, the notebook should be able to operate up to 17 hours away from the socket. The device weighs 1.45 kilograms
In Europe, the new Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro will be released in August, and a variant with an Intel CPUs is also planned. For Germany, on the other hand, Lenovo is only announcing a sales start in 2021, with prices set to start at 799 euros.
Yoga 6: Renoir in metal fabric chassis
The new Lenovo Yoga 6 with Ryzen 4000U is expected to be launched in October. Equipped with a 13.3-inch full HD display (300 cd/m²), the convertible is based on a chassis whose outer shell is made of both metal and fabric. The convertible is 1.32 kilograms light and 8.3 to 13.0 mm thin.
The 60-watt-hour battery is designed to run for up to 18 hours. Up to 16 GB DDR4 and NVMe SSDs with up to 1 TB storage capacity are possible.The Ryzen 7 4700H is the maximum for the CPU. The prices will start at 899 Euro, but a variant with Intel CPUs is currently not planned.
