98 percent of all citizens can use LTE
The coverage of the population with LTE is now over 98 percent of households, a target that was still missed at the end of 2019, according to the network operator. Deutsche Telekom is planning a total of 2,000 new LTE locations and 10,000 LTE extensions for the current year.
Most recently, the Federal Network Agency also pointed out once again that the network operators have to keep up with the LTE expansion in order to achieve the set targets.
With regard to 5G, Deutsche Telekom’s objective has not changed: at least the 20 largest cities in Germany are to be connected to the 5G network by the end of the year.
