Lenovo telephone with reverse notch design seems in new patent photographs.

Internet sources found Lenovo’s patent documentation on a smartphone with an unusual design: the design of the device presupposes a protrusion for the front camera.

A description of the machine is published on the website of the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China (China’s National Intellectual Property Administration, CNIPA).

As can be seen from the illustrations.

Lenovo offers to equip a smartphone with a small projection, which is located in the upper left corner of the hull. A single selfie camera will be installed here. This solution will make it possible to eliminate the cut or hole in the display. Besides, you won’t have to use a retractable frontal camera. However, the existence of the protuberance raises some doubts from the design point of view.

The patent illustrations show that Lenovo is looking at several variants of the design of a multi-module rear camera. It can, for example, be enclosed in a central region of circular or square form. In addition, the camera can be located in the corner on the rear panel of the body. Configurations with different number of optical elements are proposed.

In one version of the smartphone, the fingerprint scanner is placed in the back. Other modifications appear to involve the use of a screen fingerprint sensor.
