Researchers, after studying over 37,000 American adults, have discovered that consuming protein in the plant leads to long life.

Researcher Zilai Shan of the Harvard School of Public Health presented the research in the American Heart Association's Epidemiology and Prevention Program. After analyzing the participants' diaries, the researchers reported that people who received protein from plants had a lower risk of death by 27 percent than others. The risk of dying of heart diseases was also reduced by 29 percent among plant protein eaters. If less than two percent of meat protein is eaten with plantain protein every day, then the risk of death is likely to be reduced by 32 percent.

Men and women should consume so many calories


Generally, 2000 calories should be consumed every day for women and 2.5 thousand calories for men. This means that if 100 calories of red meat is also reduced by eating every day, then there is a possibility of benefits. Researchers say that not only eating red meat will benefit, but instead they will have to consume nuts, beans and pulses, only then they will get full benefit.
