With every major new version of iOS, and any other operating system for that matter, there is the issue of device compatibility. Will your machine be able to run it? Today, iOS 14 is the talk of it.

With each major iOS update, Apple introduces a number of enhancements and new features into its operating system. As many features as users of the Cupertino ecosystem do not want to miss. All they need is a device that is compatible with the new version. But will it be? For iOS 14, the answer to this question would be simple.

iOS 14 should be compatible on all devices currently running iOS 13

According to a recent report from The Verifier, all devices capable of running iOS 13 today should be able to take advantage of iOS 14. And if you feel like you’ve been through this before, it’s probably because a few months ago there was another report that said exactly the same thing. So this new report from The Verifier comes, if you will, to corroborate the information. But as usual, until Apple officially announces the information, it may not be the case.

In other words, even iPhones 6s and 6s Plus may be eligible

Still, if this were to be proven, all devices that can now run on iOS 13, that is to say the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS and XS Max and iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, should be able to take advantage of this new major version. Not bad for devices like the aging iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. As said, this is just another rumor, but we should have more details before the end of the month, as Apple will organize its WWDC 2020 – only online this year, health crisis requires – on June 22nd. Case to be followed!
