Equifax data breach: what happened.
More and more US users are breaking the data limit of 1 Tbyte a month, and providers do not dare to charge extra fees for this.
The growth in Internet usage at home will mean that the average US budget with broadband connectivity will exceed the current ISP data limits of 1 Tbyte before 2024. This resulted in an up-to-date analysis of decisiondata, which was submitted on 5 May 2020. The calculations are based on historical data from the Federal Trade Commission (FCC) and trend usage data.
Data use has increased in recent months due to corona constraints, but may decline in the next 12 months. According to Decisiondata, however, a permanent tendency towards self-isolation will mean that Internet usage in the household will remain significantly higher for the foreseeable future than before the outbreak.

As Decisiondata reported this month, the average budget now uses almost 400 Gbyte of data per month, a volume that exceeded the original data ceilings from 2016 by more than 50 to 100 Gbyte.
Decisiondata had begun to study this trend prior to the Covid 19 pandemic." At the moment, we see the biggest peaks in Internet usage at home in history, far beyond what we could have predicted or analyzed before," Decisiondata said. Providers have reacted by temporarily suspending their charges for exceeding data limits." This shows that many consumers have reached or exceeded the monthly data limit of 1 Tbyte during the pandemic."
Federal Network Agency: Generated data volume of approximately 124 Gbytes per user.
According to the Federal Network Agency, the volume of data in fixed and mobile networks in Germany increased again in 2019: in 2018, the volume of data generated in fixed networks was around 46,000 Gbyte. Preliminary calculations forecast a total volume of approximately 52,000 Gbytes in 2019. This would correspond to an average data consumption of approximately 124 Gbytes per user. Data from the corona pandemic have not yet been considered.
