Twitch hosting Summer Game Fest events with ‘console

The video game streaming platform Twitch announces a partnership regarding Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest.

Twitch becomes the preferred broadcaster of the Summer Game Fest: “The biggest video game event of the year is on our doorstep and if you want to live it as it should be, you’ll see it on Twitch. All of this is happening on our new gaming channel, the new home of exclusive video game-focused news, events and content – all led by Twitch streamers and their communities. We will offer our own cover of the Summer Game Fest. We have also partnered with some of the biggest names in the industry to bring this project to life like Riot Games, CD Projekt RED, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Blizzard Entertainment, 2K, IGDA (International Game Developers Association), and many more.”

•  Twitch Rivals – Valorant Launch Showdown: After a record closed beta, Riot Game’s 5v5 tactical shooter, Valorant, will be launched on June 2. To celebrate this event, Twitch Rivals collaborates with Riot to propose a first series of competitions. These events will take place around the world, with the participation of some of your favorite creators in North America, Brazil, LATAM (Latin America), Europe, Korea and Japan
• Revelations of 2K: gameplay and exclusive developer interviews of some of the biggest games from the American 2K publisher for this year
• IGDA Showcase: an event to discover independent games including an e-jam contest and discussions with developers
• Twitch Summer Game Fest Awards: We will wrap up the summer with an awards program that will recapitulate the best moments of the summer according to the community
