Gamescom Details and Review
Due to the ongoing corona crisis, this year’s Gamescom will be exclusively digital. Now the organizer has announced the first details of the new concept. The central element is the platform Gamescom Now, a content hub for publishers.
Overall, the digital gamescom will consist of four pillars. In addition to Gamescom Now, where world premieres and other news are shown, there will be shows such as the Opening Night Live and Awesome Indies. In the Gamescom Studio, virtual visitors can learn about the titles shown. The third pillar is cooperation with partners. With the Devcom Digital Conference, the fourth pillar, developers have the opportunity to move between the 17th and 17th centuries. and 30 August to exchange information
New formats are also the Daily Show and the Best Of Show, which provide an overview of the highlights and how the Opening Night Live, which is planned at the beginning, belongs to the second pillar of the digital gamescom.

Gamescom Now to be expanded further
The Gamescom Now content hub was launched last year and is to be expanded significantly by 2020. The platform forms the basis for the digital edition of Games-com. Here you will find all announcements, games and events as well as topics on Let’s players, e-sports, cosplay, indies and merchandise. In order to be able to "visit" the online trade fair on the Internet, no ticket is of course required.
The digital edition of the Games Fair will take place from 27 to 30 August. Although trade fairs are no longer part of major events and could be approved again in August under conditions, Koelnmesse has decided not to host a new business version of the games fair on site. According to manager Tim Endres, a focused concept is needed to organize a successful event. This is now the case with the digital format. In addition, in the summer there should still be a fair, so there would be little point in organising a fair on site.
