Dell launches new XPS 17 and XPS 15 know Price and Specifications

Dell launches a hardware spring offensive and is currently introducing new notebooks of the XPS series. In addition, there are new gaming laptops and innovations of the sub-brand Alienware.

Dell XPS 15/17: The new 2020 generation
Dell maintains the XPS 15 (9500). In the XPS 17 (9700), the manufacturer has been relying on the 17-inch display size in the XPS series for some time now.

The new XPS generation comes with a more modern, thinner housing compared to the previous models. The displays are held in 16:10 format and dissolve with 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. Optionally, there should be models with touchscreen and also with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,400 pixels.

For processors, Dell offers the XPS 15 and XPS 17 with 10th Generation Intel Code Cpus and Comet Lake H architecture. The Core i5-10300H and the Core i7-10750H are currently listed for selection. Depending on the model, there are 8 to 32 GB DDR4 RAM and 256 GB to 1 TB M.2 Pcie Nvme SSD.

As a GPU, Dell optionally installs an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 Ti depending on the model.The XPS-17 is also a Geforce RTX 2060 possible.


The XPS 15 now offers three USB-C slots, two of which support Thunderbolt 3. The XPS 17 even has four Thunderbolt 3 compatible ports, Wi-Fi 6, SD card reader and headphone jack.

The new XPS-15 laptops are now available in the Dell shop.The XPS 15 (9500) starts at 1,699 euros. The XPS 17 (9700), which is currently only listed in the United States, is expected to be launched on June 11 at prices starting at $1,500.

Dell G3 15 and G5 15: Gaming entry with new Cpus

A step cheaper are the also updated Gamer notebooks Dell G3 15 and G5 15. These can also be configured with the new tenth generation Intel Cpus and Nvidia Geforce Gpus. Both models offer 144 Hz for the displays, and the G5 15 is optionally available with a 300 Hz panel.

Both notebooks can be ordered from 26 May.The starting price for the Dell G3 15 is 899 euros, the Dell G5 15 starts from 999 euros.

Alienware: New Laptops and a Desktop
Dell also presents innovations in its gaming sub-brand. Here, among other things, the gaming laptops Alienware m15 and m17 are refreshed and now also with Intel Core H processors of the 10. Generation equipped. New features include Cyro-Tech cooling, a Thunderbolt 3 connector and the optional Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 SUPER Max-P. Both novelties can be ordered from 21 May.The m15 starts at 1,699 euros, the m17 at 1,799 euros.

The successor for the Area-51m was announced as a further notebook novelty. The easily upgradeable gamer laptop can now optionally be equipped with Comet-Lake-S desktop Cpus from Intel also AMD Navi Gpus. Also new is the desktop flagship Alienware Aurora, which is now available for the first time with a liquid-cooled Pcie graphics card, namely the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Super. The Aurora is expected to be available from the end of July, and Dell promises prices to be close to market launch.
