ASUS has released a high-performance RT-AX86U router, which can be used to maintain wireless gaming connections.

The novelty complies with the Wi-Fi 6 standard, or IEEE 802.11ax. Of course, it ensures compatibility with the standards of previous generations, including IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n and IEEE 802.11ac.

The device can operate in two frequency ranges of 2.4 and 5 Ghz. The structure comprises three external and one internal antennas.

The stated data transmission speed is as high as 4804 Mbit/s in 802.11ax (5 Ghz) standard. In 802.11ac the figure is up to 4333 Mbit/s.

The core of the new system is a processor with four computational cores operating at a 1.8 Ghz clock rate. The RAM is 1 GB.

The set of connectors includes one 10/100/1000 Baset WAN port, four 10/100/1000 Baset LAN ports, one 2.5G Baset WAN/LAN port, and two USB 3.2 Gen1 interfaces. The dimensions are 242 100 325 mm.
