After Lenovo the Ideapad 5 for from 359 and later. 459 Euro (including Windows 10) presented, follows the Lenovo Ideapad 3 for leaner wallets and less demanding notebook needs. While the Ideapad 5 is only available with a 15.6-inch screen, the Ideapad 3 offers a choice between 15.6 and 14.1 inches.

Both Lenovo laptops are aimed at the typical consumer, who, if needed, is a tool for Office and Co. and does not want to experience bottlenecks for leisure time with streaming and other multimedia applications.

With Lenovo Ideapad 3, prices start in the minimum configuration for the 14-Zoller at also 359 Euro without Windows 10 and at 419 Euro if you want the operating system license right there. The 15 inch Lenovo Ideapad can be configured from 449 Euro without and 509 Euro with Windows 10.

The configuration options are slightly lower than the Ideapad 5. Three AMD Cpus (Ryzen 3 4300U, Ryzen 5 4500U and Ryzen 7 4700U) are used for the 14 and only two processors for the 15-Zoller (Ryzen 5 4500U and Ryzen 4700U). 4 GB of RAM is the basic version of the 14-Zoller, which can only be increased to a maximum of 8 GB (+20 Euro) with a larger CPU. The 15-Zoller already has 8 GB available as the base, but despite Ryzen 7, the configurator also maintains a maximum of 8 GB. For the SSD, both models have a minimum of 256 or a maximum of 512 GB (+50 euros).

In contrast to Ideapad 5, the Ideapad 3 with 14 inches in the basic equipment only offers an HD-Ready screen (1,366 x 768 pixels), for ten euros extra charge there is Full-HD, but also only with TN technology and a brightness of 220 cd/m². The 15 Zoller only has this screen option. Instead of 45 or 57 watt-hours (Wh; for Ideapad 5), there are only 35 or 45 Wh options (+30 Euro). There is also no more than WLAN-ac (WLAN 5).

Ideapad 5 also uses aluminum, while Ideapad 3 uses plastic. A fingerprint scanner is available for 10 Euro extra, a better Webcam (0.3 MP, 640 x 480) or other features such as keyboard lighting is not available.

In the maximum configuration (without additional software) for the Lenovo Ideapad 3 with 14 inches, we come to 749 Euro (Ryzen 7, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and Windows 10 Pro) and for the Ideapad 3 with 15 inches to 789 Euro. Windows 10 Home instead of Pro, you could still deduct 90 Euros each.
