The third phase of the central government's ambitious scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), will start with complete preparation for the next financial year, which has been prepared by the government. Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey informed about this. The government started this scheme in 2015 and improved it in 2016 with the goal of making one crore people efficient by 2020.

According to official figures, till November 11, more than 69 lakh people have been trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. When asked about the expansion of the existing scheme, the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, “We will achieve 90 percent of the target under the ongoing scheme. As you know, the main objective of the government is to train and skill the youth.

However, Pandey refused to share the data for the new phase, saying that the figures would be shared only at the time of its official announcement. The Union Minister has asked the public sector and private-sector companies to emphasize on the apprenticeship program. He said,"I assure that my ministry will provide all help."Companies have to step forward and promote and organize the trainee program."
