FlexScan EV 3895: Eizo first monitor is also the largest to date

The FlexScan EV3895 combines both and delivers 3,840 1,600 pixels in 24:10 format

The monitor manufacturer Eizo had neither a screen diagonal of around 38 inches nor a curved display (curved). The FlexScan EV3895 combines both and delivers 3,840 1,600 pixels in 24:10 format. The various connectors also include USB-C and Gigabit LAN for the KVM switch function.

Eizo relies on 38 inches and curved for the first time

With its nearly 90 cm width and 37.5 inch image diagonal, the FlexScan EV3895 is by far the largest monitor of the manufacturer, because so far 31.5 inches in 16:9 format was the end. But the use of a curved IPS panel also makes the EV3895 an exotic monitor as the first curved monitor in Eizo’s range.

Docking function with USB-C and Gigabit LAN

With the focus on productive use in the office, however, Eizo is as usual on this point. The KVM function, which allows two computers connected to the monitor to be operated via the same mouse and keyboard, is intended to facilitate the work with several systems. There are plenty of connections: In addition to two HDMI and one DisplayPort, there are four USB sockets with plug type A as well as a type C, which should also supply connected devices with up to 85 watts of power. There is also an RJ-45 port for local network and headphone output, and the monitor has built-in speakers.

The key data on the display are unobtrusive: a static contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a brightness of 300 cd/m² and a reaction time of 5 ms (GtG) are typical values for an IPS panel. At a color depth of 8 bits per RGB channel, 94 percent of the color space DCI-P3 and 100 percent of sRGB should be achieved.

Lush height adjustment, but no pivot

With a large clearance of 192.7 mm, the display is adjustable in height and can also be tilted forward or backward and swiveled horizontally. As with all Monitors of this size or width, the upright mode (pivot) is denied. The option of alternative brackets is given by the VESA device.

Eizo underlines its good reputation in service with a five-year warranty. In addition, this model comes with a six-month guarantee against pixel errors (Zero Bright Pixels). In addition to the black version (EV3895-BK), there is a white version (EV3895-WT).

Japan takes the lead

Eizo initially presented the EV3895 only in its home market of Japan, where it will be available from mid-October for 209,000 yen (around 1,700 euros). The later introduction in other regions of the world including Europe is very likely.
