From the community of the Todayus forum comes a review of the Lenovo Thinkpad T14 with a mobile 7 nm APU (Renoir-U") from the enterprise series AMD Ryzen Pro 4000 under the arch derivative Manjaro Linux. Renoir looks good on Linux

In his article Lenovo Thinkpad T14 (AMD) under Linux"Community member aRkedos" reports about his experiences with the notebook under Manjaro Linux 20 ("Lysia") and devotes itself not only to partial aspects such as processing and design, but also to childhood diseases under Linux.

With the Thinkpad you get in my eyes a very good device, which runs very well with Linux. However, you should have a very current kernel.
One can assume that things that don’t yet work will work better and better with the development of the kernel.

The author has chosen his Lenovo Thinkpad in the following configuration:

• AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4650U
• 16 GB DDR4 RAM with 3,200 MT/s
• 512 GB M.2-Pcie SSD (Nvme protocol)
• 14" Full HD IPS display (250 cd/m²)
• 50 Wh battery

The operating system used was the current Manjaro Linux 20 ("Lysia") with the system kernel Linux 5.7 released in June and the particularly lightweight i3 window manager.
