Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX HEDT processor with eight memory channels spotted

Spotted: Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX Processor with 8-channel DDR4

After the launch of AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3000 (Test) in November last year with the Ryzen Threadripper 3990X (Test) at the top, it became quiet around Castle Peak on a possible TRX80 platform with drilled-up octa channel interface. But now a Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX has been spotted.

Eight memory channels for up to 2 TB RAM

Several images of an alleged AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX for the much speculated TRX80/WRX80 platform were published on the non-public Chinese website Chiphell.

In addition to doubling the memory channels from a quad- to an octa-channel memory interface, a lot has been done, not least in terms of the maximum possible memory capacity. The new platform and the 3995WX should be able to handle up to 2 TB of memory, while the TRX40 substructure is limited to a maximum of 256 GB.

First, Twitter HLX became aware of the entries of the Chinese website and was able to ensure corresponding images of the HEDT processor.

Threadripper Pro will therefore have all the exclusive features of AMD Ryzen Pro, which the manufacturer markets under the terms AMD Pro Security, "AMD Pro Manageability" and AMD Pro Business Ready".

Introduction should be imminent

Rumor has it that AMD will officially unveil its new workstation flagship and TRX80/WRX80 platform next Tuesday, July 14th. The manufacturer itself has not yet promised such a processor.

The Threadripper Pro 3975WX therefore worked on a mainboard called "Lenovo 1046" in a workstation of the type Lenovo 2020WS". This seems to confirm the latest rumors that the Threadripper Pro should be analogous to the Ryzen Pro exclusively for OEM workstations.

It is reported that AMD is planning to introduce a total of four models with 12, 16, 32 and 64 cores on the Threadripper Pro. The names 3945WX (12C/24T), 3955WX (16C/32T), 3975WX (32C/64T) and 3995WX (64C/128T) have already appeared several times. The normal "Threadripper" is only available with 24, 32 and 64 cores, because the socket AM4 with Ryzen 9 3900X and Ryzen 9 3950X already offers Cpus with 12 or 16 cores.
