Halo 2 will be available for PC on May 12

Halo 2: Anniversary will be available for PC on May 12 as part of the well-known toy collection "The Master Chief Collection".

The collection as a whole consists of the titles Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach and Halo 4 with more than 120 multiplayer maps and 67 campaign missions.

The collection was developed by 343 Industries in collaboration with other studios with publishing by Xbox Game Studios.

Halo 2: Anniversary is the 2nd game to be released for the PC platform from the collection. The remastered version of Halo 2 was released as part of the "original release" of the Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One about six years ago (2014). The Anniversary version has improved graphics, textures and rendering resolution but has new cutscenes from Blur Studios and more.

Halo 2: Anniversary will be available via Steam, the Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass on May 12, framing Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. It will be some time before the PC collection is complete, with Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 still missing, although Microsoft has said that everything will be released before the year changes.
