LG will release a new firmware for Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 amps and game GPU for its 8K OLED TV with in-house AI processor Alpha 9 Gen 3 in 2020, the 8K at 60 frames per second with a maximum nominal data rate of 48 Gbps and G-Sync on the 8K televisions of the vintage 2020.

8K NanoCell models are already "ready" for Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 and do not require a corresponding update.With the 2020 8K OLED TV, LG is now following up again and wants to distribute the necessary firmware later this year.

Alpha 9 Gen 3 is mandatory
The basic requirement for full support of 8K with 60 FPS on the GeForce RTX 3000 series is HDMI 2.1 with DSC via the AI processor Alpha 9 Gen 3, which LG currently exclusively uses on its 8K models of the ZX series and its 2020 4K models from the C series, while the 4K models of all other series have an Alpha 7 Gen 3.
