Nvidia GeForce Now cloud gaming service has been available on PC, Mac, Nvidia Shield, and Android. At the official launch of the platform in February, Nvidia promised that support for Chromebooks would follow.
GeForce Now via web browser on Chromebooks
Owners of a Google Chromebook can now use GeForce Now by logging in to GeForce Now in their web browser and then starting the game they want from their library.
Nvidia recommends classic mouse and keyboard control, but other input devices should also work with a Chromebook. Any changes to the free or paid subscription are not required.
GeForce Now on Chromebooks is currently in beta, and it is unclear when the final version will follow.
New Screenshot Technology Announced
In addition, GeForce Now will receive a new feature. The game streaming service supports the GeForce Experience features Highlights and Freestyle right from the start, which can be used, among other things, to record videos or place various filters over the image.
Not yet, but in the coming weeks the screenshot technology Ansel should be added. However, Nvidia does not yet reveal exactly when it will happen. Last but not least, Nvidia GeForce Now has also announced for Taiwan what will be realized in cooperation with telecommunications company Taiwan Mobile.
