With code 01, the Chinese manufacturer Mechrevo has announced the first notebook with an APU of the type AMD Ryzen 7 4800H (Renoir") without dedicated GPU. In addition to the "cTDP up" of the processor, which the manufacturer estimates with the maximum possible 54 watts, up to 32 GB DDR4-3200 and a 91 Wh battery are to be offered.

Renoir-H for the first time without dedicated GPU

The AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with its 8 cores and 16 threads as well as a base clock of 2.9 Ghz and a boost clock of 4.2 Ghz, is also designed by an elaborate dual-fan heatpipe", which, together with the absence of a dedicated GPU, should enable the integrated Vega7 to high clock rates.

The 15.6-inch display should cover 100 percent of the sRGB color space and have particularly thin screen borders. According to the translation of the data sheet, the notebook should also have Wi-Fi 6 (formerly IEEE 802.111ax) and Thunderbolt 3 with USB-C and weigh only 1.47 kg. In the storage configurations, two Pcie Ssds with a capacity of 512 GB and 1 TB are available, which perform their work according to the specifications of the Nvme protocol.

In China available in Germany coveted

In China, the Mechrevo Code 01 can already be pre-ordered and costs in the entry-level configuration with an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, 8 GB DDR4-3200 and 512 GB flash memory 4,699 Chinese yuan, converted around 590 euros.

In the largest of all available configurations with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, 32 GB DDR4-3200 and 1 TB SSD are 6,899 yuan, around 860 euros due. A market launch in Europe, at least under the label Mechrevo, is rather unlikely.

However, the Mechrevo Code 01 can be used as a blueprint for upcoming local models with AMD Renoir, which may still be on view without a dedicated GPU in the future. In the Computerbase forum, too, such configurations with Renoir are often requested by readers without a dedicated GPU.
