Toyota first went to the Netherlands to get the Toyota Highlander, a 7-person SUV. The Highlander - available exclusively as a Hybrid in Europe - is the latest addition to Toyota's wide hybrid SUV range. The Highlander is expected to be at the Dutch Toyota dealer in early 2021.
Designed in accordance with the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) philosophy, the Toyota Highlander is built on the lightweight and extra rigid GA-K vehicle platform. The efficient electrified hybrid powertrain ensures fuel consumption and emissions are low. Furthermore, the Highlander is equipped with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD-I) as standard and the SUV has a maximum towing weight of 2,000 kilos, ideal as a caravan tractor.
