Future Group blast - Sale of 'Cheapest Day' to be held around Republic Day
new Delhi . The Future Group has planned to do a big blast this time on Republic Day. The company will also be on the 'cheapest day' sale Amazon around Republic Day. This will increase the scope of partnership between the two companies. Amazon took a stake in Kishore Biyani's retail company last year. In 'Cheapest Days' Sale, items are sold at huge discounts at stores like Future Group's Big Bazaar and Food Bazaar.
This time, this cell will also be available through a web store on Amazon's marketplace. Future Group will deliver the ordered products to the web store through its network of outlets and warehouses. A source aware of this development said, 'All the big discount events of Future Group will also be present on Amazon. This is the first time that 'Cheapest Days' Sale will be out of Future Group stores.' Future Group already sells its private brands and other products on Amazon. Amazon has an agreement for delivery of grocery along with Big Bazaar outlets.
Under this, the groceries purchased on Amazon are delivered to the customers. The 'Cheapest Days' sale is the biggest discounting event for the Future Group. During this sale, the number of customers at its stores across the country increases significantly. However, due to the rapid growth of e-commerce websites like Amazon and Flipkart in recent years, the number of customers coming during this sale has been affected. Amazon agreed to take a 49 percent stake in Biyani's Future Coupons last year. Future Coupons holds 7.3 per cent stake in Future Retail. With this, Amazon got about 3.6 percent stake in Future Retail, the country's largest listed retail company.
Biyani told last month, "We believe that we can get billions of dollars of additional business in the next 24-36 months by partnering with Amazon." Amazon plans to move its hyperlocal platform Amazon Now to new cities Futchel Group has to use a large network of physical stores. The two companies are also planning to provide benefits from both Amazon and Future Group to Amazon Prime Members and Digital Wall Future Pay customers.
